Tyler planned the sweetest surprise proposal for Rebecca at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates during Holiday Nights—a place that’s been part of their holiday tradition for years. What Rebecca thought was just another festive evening strolling through the glowing gardens quickly turned into a moment she’ll never forget. Surrounded by twinkling lights and historic charm, Tyler got down on one knee and asked Rebecca to spend forever with him. Congratulations to these two!
Baby Adams Adoption Fundraiser
Thrilled to support my friend Jenna and her husband, Bryson, as they raise funds to adopt a baby! Believe it or not, domestic adoption costs can range between $45,000- $75,000+. Although I did not have money to donate to their fund, I did have time and talent and offered to do mini sessions in Jenna’s parent’s back yard for their network of friends. We raised $1,000!

Expecting Baby Simmer | Fort Myers Maternity Photographer
Just a year ago I was blogging Athena and Scott's wedding photos (click here to see!!!) and now they are expecting a little one in July! So excited for to these two! Of course I had to take her maternity portraits while she was visiting Fort Myers. We started on McGregor Blvd. near the famous GOD IS LOVE sign and followed the light as many of my sessions do and ended at FSW. My beautiful friend of so many years rocked the shoot with her bohemian style and amazing baby bump. Glowing at 33 weeks, Athena will endure the anticipation a few weeks longer... Best of all her and Scott do not know the gender yet of there little one!!

Expecting: Asha + Sean I Sanibel, Florida I Maternity Photographer
Yet another maternity session!!!
It seems everyone is expecting... including my gorgeous friend, Asha. Due in February, I met up with her and Sean (daddy-to-be) for sunrise portraits on the island. I must say the couple was brave smiling and giggling their way through the 48 degree weather (cold for Florida!!!). You can tell these two are soooo in love and are counting the days until they meet their little one. Also a photographer, Asha was glowing in front of the camera and was stunning among the sunrise, sea grapes and sandy beach of Sanibel. Here's a sneak peek at their baby bump session:

Elated to share Kim and Mark's recent maternity session at Koreshan State Park on the blog this week. The couple has waited a LONG time to be EXPECTING and I was so excited to capture this special time in their lives. Baby Bocelli will arrive in December. I will say it's a BOY but the name is still a secret... We had a blast together and Mark is always good for laughs. Kim wanted a few shots including the adorable shoes and belly + ring photo below.
Fell in love with this spot and the beautiful light that we captured. Also loved Kim's choice of clothing for the entire session. She looked radiant and all belly!

I traveled north this past weekend to meet up with my old college friend, Jenny, and her husband, Joe, for some destination maternity photos on Boca Grande, FL. I had my sights on Banyan Street and knew I wanted to use my wide angle lens to capture the beauty of the trees. We hit the beach just after sunrise, stumbled upon a fun peace wreath on a colorful door, and explored a local church for stunning images of these two. Can't wait for the arrival of Baby Benitz in a few weeks!

Simmer Wedding I Lover's Key I Bonita Springs, FL
If you have been following my blog over the last few months, you have seen my excitement over the union of these two. On April 12th, we drank drink champagne... danced on the beach... and celebrated the marriage of Athena and Scott Simmer at Lovers Key in Bonita Springs, FL.
I spent time with the bride and groom as they got ready at Lover's Key Resort, then attended their ceremony as a guest, and later captured the couple's bridal portraits with Matt before the reception. What a beautiful day! Athena was glowing, Scott was dashing, and their family and friends were rich in sentiments expressing happiness for the newlyweds. A friend of Athena for nearly 20 years of my life, I like many of her friends was ecstatic that she finally met her soul mate. Someone she connected to in every way and on every level, someone who brings her happiness and truly compliments her. Her sister, Alexa, summed it up in her toast to Athena saying "You carry the heart of everyone who knows you... You now have a man to carry yours". We all adore Scott and can't wait to see what the future holds for these two. For now I leave you with the sweet intimacy and giddiness of love on Athena and Scott's wedding day and a few surprises at the end...

The Chabin's are expecting! Amanda is looking gorgeous & radiant as she awaits the arrival of her son later this April. We met up at Barefoot Beach in Bonita Springs for the couple's maternity photos. I took them on a little adventure (#callsecurity) as we made our way (#wrongway) to the sunset that evening. Congratulations to Bethany and David on their upcoming wedding in November! We were introduced through a common friend (Sarah Martin) and were thrilled to photograph them in Downtown Fort Myers during the 4th of July weekend. Matt and I spend a lot of time in the Fort Myers River District as a family with our daughter Lillian. We appreciate and revel in the architecture, art, culture, and commerce as a unique urban backdrop for sessions. Bethany knew she wanted to start at the yacht basin and work our way to the gorgeous banyan tree near the court house and we stopped at various DTFM favorites along the way including the Whitehurst Federal Building (Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center).
