Our adventures on Boca Grande a few weeks ago are on the blog this week. From the wide angle shots on Banyan Street to the hidden gardens along the way to the sandy white beaches, this truly is one of our fav places to shoot. I wished we loved closer! Luckily Elisabeth and her family vacation there often so perhaps we will be back to shoot as little Hudson grows to know how amazing this Florida island is!

Just a year ago I was blogging Athena and Scott's wedding photos (click here to see!!!) and now they are expecting a little one in July! So excited for to these two! Of course I had to take her maternity portraits while she was visiting Fort Myers. We started on McGregor Blvd. near the famous GOD IS LOVE sign and followed the light as many of my sessions do and ended at FSW. My beautiful friend of so many years rocked the shoot with her bohemian style and amazing baby bump. Glowing at 33 weeks, Athena will endure the anticipation a few weeks longer... Best of all her and Scott do not know the gender yet of there little one!!

Love, love, love this family!! We did an early Mother's Day shoot for Sujin while her sister was in town to celebrate Baby Layla's 6 month milestone. What a cutie this little girl is... From her hip wardrobe to her amazing locks, Baby Layla has some style! I'm sure it doesn't help to be from such a chic family of ladies! Here's a peek at a few of our favs from their session:

What started off as an idea board on Pinterest over a year ago resulted in a prop junkie's dream! Our vision for an off the charts fun + colorful bubble gum themed photo session finally came to life! The setting was inspired with Valentine's Day in mind to capture little ones' sweetness! We had a great time photographing all of the children exploring the candy, tub of gum balls, giant red balloon, and decorated chest. The images from the day are beautiful and we could not have asked for a better group of kiddos to work with!!!!

It was a difficult choice but I do believe Matt and I have decided on our favorite image from 2014. The photo above was selected for so many reasons...
1. That giddy moment you look at light and see something beautiful that you can't wait to capture!
2. Molly took this photo to celebrate her friend, Kim, who was expecting in December 2014. It took this couple a long time to get pregnant so these images were even more special.
3. The sunflare is amazing, the image is somewhat wide which we love, and it's a new perspective at a location we have shot several times and never thought to set up this way!
4. It makes us happy!

Yet another maternity session!!!
It seems everyone is expecting... including my gorgeous friend, Asha. Due in February, I met up with her and Sean (daddy-to-be) for sunrise portraits on the island. I must say the couple was brave smiling and giggling their way through the 48 degree weather (cold for Florida!!!). You can tell these two are soooo in love and are counting the days until they meet their little one. Also a photographer, Asha was glowing in front of the camera and was stunning among the sunrise, sea grapes and sandy beach of Sanibel. Here's a sneak peek at their baby bump session:
You might recognize these two from the first wedding we ever photographed back in 2012!! Three years later, Chiara is expecting! Baby Sophia is set to arrive early February. Blooming flowers + fall leaves at one of my fav locales, multiple outfit changes (the bride to be works at White House Black Market), and a whole lot of LOVE: this, my friends, is an engagement session done oh-soooo right. This gorgeous couple is getting married in Costa Rica!!! Christina & Mihaly, we are so excited for you to tie the knot at your upcoming destination wedding later this month. Congratulations!!
Celebrating the new year with the Anderson family's bubbly photos at the Naples City Dock. Traveling from Chicago to Marco Island, this family was one of the most laid back, high energy groups we have worked with. So much fun!!! They started with a toast and the smiles unfolded from there as our camera clicked. Melissa contacted us for Florida inspired, creative, fun portraits and I'd have to say, we nailed it! They had cute ideas, including a photo of them holding a family portrait to resemble the TV show Modern Family. They also recreated a pose from a family photo taken over 10 years ago (you will see both at the end of this blog post and they may make you chuckle).

Ready for 2015? We are!!! The planner and big picture person in me is ready to reflect on the year and analyze the details... When I started pulling my fav images for this blog post, it was a bit overwhelming. That's a good problem to have! There are so many beautiful moments from this past year. Thankful for each and every client we have photographed!

The numbers... We had the delight of working with 40 Families, 20+ Children, 21 Newborns, 3 High School Seniors, 13 Expecting Moms, 5 Couples, and a few headshots mixed in along the way. We doubled the number of newborn sessions from 2013! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Accomplishments for the year... Molly updated the MMP website (love squarespace) and finally committed to a new logo (thanks The Paper Zoo) and branding for the business. We ordered flash drives with our logo that have received rave reviews from clients!!! We continued to take classes through Creative Live and participated in weekly challenges through our favorite photography forums including Light Inspired, Life Defined Project, Love Photos Beautifully, I Heart Faces, and Rock the Shot. Matt purchased a new camera, the FujiFilm X100s, and has been shooting in black and white for pleasure. Molly's editorial work was featured in the FGCU Pinnacle Magazine, Life in Naples, and local newspapers around town. We continue to blog our photos as much as possible to highlight the story of each session and drive our fans back to our website. Molly also continues to grow a strong following on Instagram with daily photos of life with our sassy toddler, Lillian. Are you following her at mollyg?
The year brought several gifts, including the arrival of Molly's niece, Emma, in April and the weddings of Athena + Scott and Sarah + Rafael, and the birth of Kacey (daughter of Colorado cousins Gabe & Hayley) in August. It means so much to us to capture the milestones and celebrations in our family and friend's lives. These are moments are why we pick up the camera...

Congrats to Kim & Mark who welcomed Baby Gavin Reed on December 14th! The best gift under the tree, Gavin was 7 lbs, 7 oz and 21 inches long. So excited for you guys!
