One of our fav families to photograph, the Price’s opted for a sunset summer sesh a little early this year instead of our usual fall portrait session. The season swap meant radar monitoring for rain (thankfully the showers stayed away) and brighter colors for clothing (love, love, love). Alisa brought us to a new location (Miromar Lakes) that was sentimental to her and Kevin. Always such a fun time with this crew! Just a beautiful family inside and out.

Congratulations to Carrie and Wes on Baby #3! Practicing 6 feet of social distancing, we met just as Florida opened the beaches back up. We are excited to see your family of boys multiply! Our DUMBO Family Session, Brooklyn, NYC
Totally in AMAZED with the family photos we had taken by Nicki Sebastian during our trip to NYC for the marathon in late October 2015. Love the negative space and connections she documented in the time we spent in Dumbo for our session- Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. Yes, we were a little cold, a little stressed (Uber issues and wardrobe concerns), but psyched about seeing the sun come out after a week of rain. This experience was a nice reminder for us of how much prep goes into getting ready for a photo session. The shopping for outfits, the exchanging of what you thought would work, the "I hope my child takes a nap" before we meet the photographer, and the softening of the experience for the husband who is thinking "do I really have to do this?". Yes, even Matt is not a huge fan when I insist we do this process on an annual basis. It's water under the bridge, we had a GREAT trip, our session with Nicki was a blast and I have these beautiful images to remember Lillian's first trip to NYC!

So much LOVE, JOY + LAUGHTER in this session. We adored being behind the camera at Riverside Community Park in Bonita to capture the beautiful Clegg Family! Greydon (2) had so much energy as he explored the Artists' Cottages and spent time with his parents, Heather + Bill, cuddling, laughing, and of course climbing the cool statues in the park!

Sharing the Price family memories during a recent morning on Barefoot Beach in Bonita Springs, FL. Alisa and I have been "Insta-friends" for a while and Kevin and I are connected through the FGCU Alumni Association, so I was looking forward to photographing their beautiful kiddos and Tyler's first birthday cake smash! We had great time together and my favorite part was the mini boom box Kevin and Alisa brought on the beach for Tyler and Myla to dance! In all my years of photographing that was the first time I've ever had that happen and I appreciated it because Matt is so into tunes and brings our music with us every where we go!

Have you every opened an e-mail that made you smile? Of course you have... and I did too when I read about Josh and his family traveling to Southwest Florida on the quest for the ideal photographer to capture his family for a beach shoot. Definitely spoiled, Josh's sister is a photographer in Nashville so he had in mind what he was looking for- a photographer talented in composition, lighting, and posing. Let me clarify on the posing, not the stiff white shirt kind of photographs on the beach, but rather the lifestyle portraits we love to snap. So giving of the compliments before our camera even clicked, I can't wait for Josh and Heidi to see their gallery of photos!

Boca Grande Photographer | Hoy Family
Our adventures on Boca Grande a few weeks ago are on the blog this week. From the wide angle shots on Banyan Street to the hidden gardens along the way to the sandy white beaches, this truly is one of our fav places to shoot. I wished we loved closer! Luckily Elisabeth and her family vacation there often so perhaps we will be back to shoot as little Hudson grows to know how amazing this Florida island is!
